Company transfers leadership and will appoint a Board of Directors by January 1, 2016.
(Northfield, MN) October 20, 2015 – Perkins STC President and Chief Executive Officer, Neil Perkins has announced he will transition to Chairman of the Board of Directors effective January 1, 2016. This change will mark the end of Perkins family members being active in operational capacities although the company will remain family-owned. As Chairman he will focus on strategic business planning as well as industry wide initiatives and improvements. “I want Perkins to move beyond that next level and achieve growth and performance results that are industry leading”, said Perkins regarding his decision and future goals.
It was also announced that John Ehr has accepted the position of President and CEO and will transition into the role full-time effective January 1, 2016. Prior to this promotion, Ehr was Chief Operating Officer at Perkins STC leading all operational departments including engineering, projec t management and coordination, field operations, fabrication services, and equipment maintenance. He holds a Master of Science in Infrastructure Systems Engineering from the University of Minnesota, with other degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Construction Management. He is also a named inventor on two patents with an extensive background in specialized crane, rigging, and oversize transport fields. “John has been highly regarded and valued among the management team for over eight years.
